    Description
    I am a former poli sci scholar and international democracy assistance practitioner. Currently, I consult donors and civil society organizations, primarily as an evaluator or monitoring, evaluation and learning advisor. I am focusing on capacities of civil society organizations, particularly those involved in the international development.

    What do you expect from the network?
    I hope to be involved in fruitful debates about all things backsliding, particularly the role of polarization in the transformation of democracies. Ideally, I will be able to take part in a practical attempt to advise new political forces to become actors capable of establishing the new center of what - for all intents and purposes - will become the equivalent of the liberal-democratic politics for the rest of this century.
    Which are your main interests?
    Intellectually, I am very curious about various aspects of the current predicament of liberal democracies including all matters related to democratic backsliding. \nPreviously, I have done research on populism and radical political forces in Central Europe. Many if these became mainstream in the meantime, which seems to signal the major shift in the nature of the contemporary democracies. As their liberal character is gradually dissipating, I am interested in how the new modus vivendi between the political elites and the disenchanted segments of the demos could be established.
