- Description
- Innovation for Policy Foundation (i4Policy) is a global not-for-profit organisation with African roots. We connect individuals, communities and governments around the world to co-create the future. We believe in building a better future by placing the power of the collective at the heart of decision-making.\n\nOur work is organised into three areas: Research & Development, Strategic Advisory, and Knowledge Sharing. We transform ideas into practical solutions by taking innovations from concept to real-world testing. From there, we scale up processes and share proven methods to ensure lasting impact.\n\nWhile we move between our three areas, we always focus on feedback and improvement to make sure our support, tools, and methods stay practical and effective. We are committed to bridging knowledge and experiences between different regions of the world, at a local, national or international level.
- Are you an individual or an organisation?
- Organisation
- What do you expect from the network?
- We expect the network to enable practical collaboration on transnational challenges through co-designed pilots, shared knowledge and tools, joint processes with policymakers, and peer capacity building.
- Which are your main interests?
- Our main interests are advancing participatory governance and co-creating public policy, including designing and running citizens’ assemblies, policy hackathons and large multi-stakeholder deliberations. We also focus on digital democracy and civic technology, developing platforms and open tools like the Citizen Engagement Platform, and investing in research, development and knowledge sharing to scale proven methods. We also prioritise capacity building for civil society, participatory grantmaking and financial mechanisms to support grassroots innovators, and advocacy and communications to influence policy environments while ensuring the inclusion of marginalised groups.
